Putting the "Life" Back Into Being a Student
The Student Life Office produces and supports campus activities throughout the year. If you are interested in learning about what is going on on-campus stop by the Student Life office to learn more about events and how you can get involved. Student Life also directly supports the Associated Students Program Board and the Campus Vitality Committee.
Associated Students Program Board (ASPB)
ASPB is the undergraduate student run program board at UCR. ASPB provides quality entertainment for UCR Undergraduates and the UCR Community. ASPB annual events include Block Party, Spring Splash, Winter Soulstice, the Wednesday Nooner Series and the Homecoming Bonfire. In addition, ASPB has hosted speaking engagements with the likes of Spike Lee, Buzzfeed’s The Try Guys, and The Cast of Orange is the New Black. Throughout the year undergraduates can catch a free advance screening of the most popular films being released. Students involved in ASPB receive extensive professional and leadership development while planning events all year long. Visit the aspb.ucr.edu for more information on how to get involved or to find out more about ASPB events.
The Vitality Committee brings together various departments on campus to promote & enhance Highlander Spirit and Tartan Soul. Vitality takes the lead on coordinating major Highlander Spirit campaigns during Highlander Welcome and Homecoming. In addition, Vitality coordinates the R’side Weekly email, where students can find out about all events and happenings going on that week on campus. Visit rside.ucr.edu to check-out current campus-wide events.
